A practical introduction service for a practical industry problem.
Raw Trade is UK-focused and built for manufacturers, distributors, formulators and procurement teams working with cosmetic, personal care and toiletry raw materials.
We provide an opportunity to turn surplus raw materials into cash and help manufacturers, buyers and developers source what they need.
- Don’t let valuable raw materials sit on a warehouse shelf.
- Before you buy new, see what is already available.
- Your surplus may be what somebody else is looking for.
Why Raw Trade exists
Even well-managed manufacturers and distributors can accumulate surplus raw materials. Changes in customer demand, discontinued products, contract changes, minimum order quantities and new-product launches can all leave perfectly usable material sitting in stock.
That stock can tie up working capital and storage space before eventually being written off or disposed of.
Raw Trade grew out of many years of experience managing and advising businesses in the cosmetics, personal care and toiletries sector. It was created to give suitable surplus another route to market and help businesses recover value from materials that might otherwise go unused, while redistributing commercially valuable materials within the industry.
What we do
We provide a structured catalogue for surplus stock and facilitate introductions between interested buyers and sellers, providing a dedicated place where materials can be listed, discovered, matched and traded so they can be put back into production.
We do not buy stock, take title, handle materials, arrange transport, handle payments or act as the seller.
Who we work with
Manufacturers & contract manufacturers
Businesses with surplus raw materials arising from changing production requirements, customer contracts, forecasts, discontinued products or minimum order quantities.
Distributors & principal suppliers
Businesses holding ageing, excess or discontinued stock that may still be useful to another operator.
Formulators, chemists & procurement teams
People looking for specific ingredients, development quantities or volumes that may be more practical than standard supplier minimum order quantities.
